Common Faults and Solutions for Mobile Concrete Mixer Trucks
By rotating the tank, the mobile drum mixer truck keeps the sand, stone, cement and other materials in concrete evenly mixed to prevent caking and stratification. In the long-term transportation process, if the concrete mixer does not rotate, the stones in the concrete will sink to the bottom, the middle layer is sand, and the upper layer is cement slurry, which will lead to concrete agglomeration and stratification and affect the quality of concrete. By rotating the tank, the mixture of sand, stone and cement in concrete can be more uniform, thus preventing caking and delamination.
Working principle of concrete mixer truck
The engine power is transmitted to the hydraulic oil pump through the PTO on the chassis of the mixer truck to produce high-pressure hydraulic oil. High-pressure hydraulic oil drives the oil motor to rotate at high speed, which generates great torque through the planetary gear reducer to drive the mixing drum to rotate. During transportation, the mixer truck keeps rotating at a low speed of 1-3 revolutions per minute to ensure the homogeneity of concrete and prevent the segregation of concrete.
Analysis and treatment of conventional faults of concrete mixer truck
1. Piston pump failure
Description of the problem: As an important part of the concrete mixer, Dusai pump's failure may lead to the failure of the mixing drum.
Processing steps: Immediate replacement: when it is confirmed that it is not loaded, quickly replace it with a new Dussel pump to ensure that the mixing drum can resume normal operation.
Inspection and debugging: after replacement, the new pump should be inspected and debugged to ensure its normal operation and no leakage.
2. The mixer truck fails during loading (emergency drive is required)
Problem description: When the mixer truck fails during loading and the reducer is normal, the concrete can be discharged by emergency driving.
Processing steps: Preparation: Prepare emergency drive hoses and tools.
Fault car operation:
(1) Turn off the engine to ensure safety.
(2) Loosen the fastening nut and turn the knob to prepare to remove the high-pressure hose.
(3) Connect the emergency drive hose to ensure no leakage.
Operation of rescue vehicle:
(1) Also turn off the engine and put the operating handle in neutral. Remove the high-pressure hose of the rescue vehicle and connect it to the emergency drive hose.
(2) Start the engine, and control the mixing drum to rotate by operating the handle to discharge concrete.(3) Restore the original state: after the emergency drive is completed, the two vehicles need to restore the original state to ensure that all connections and components are correctly returned.
3. Leakage of pipe joint of wave pressure officer
Problem description: There is leakage at the hydraulic pipe joint, which may be caused by the aging or damage of the sealing ring.
Processing steps: Disassembly and inspection: First, close the hydraulic system and remove the leaking joint.
Replace sealing ring: clean the joint surface and replace it with a new sealer. Re-tightening: Reinstall and tighten the joint to ensure a good seal.
Test and observation: start the hydraulic system and observe whether there is still leakage.
3. The reducer is damaged
Problem description: As an important transmission part of the mixer, the damage of the reducer will seriously affect the operation of the mixing drum.
Processing steps:
Emergency discharging: firstly, the concrete in the mixing drum should be discharged to prevent further damage to the equipment caused by concrete solidification.
Replace reducer: according to the equipment model and specifications, replace a new reducer or contact the manufacturer for technical support.
Inspection and debugging: after replacement, the reducer should be inspected and debugged to ensure that it works normally and cooperates well with other components.
Preventive measures: check the running state and lubrication of the reducer regularly, and find and deal with potential problems in time.
To sum up, it is necessary to quickly and accurately determine the cause of the common faults of concrete mixer and take corresponding measures. At the same time, strengthening the daily maintenance of equipment is also an important measure to prevent failures.
